I would say a good 50 LCM freestyle time for a high schooler would be a couple seconds under 30 seconds. My 50 backstroke (not my best stroke) is 32 seconds (I am in high school). It changes depending on your district but as a varsity swimmer, 28 seconds seems average & faster than that is amazing.
