What is the difference between Safale s 04 and s 05?
Both yeasts are cold-tolerant and fast. S-04 attenuates less and is more fruity/minerally than US-05 at low temps (58º F – 64º F). US-05 is much cleaner at moderate ale temps (65º F – 69º F).

Just rehydrate while cleaning, chilling, or any other end of the brewing process. Cover with a little plastic wrap or foil and pitch when ready within an hour or so. Not sure how long it can sit, but I go up to an hour at times.

- Cover opening with foil and boil for 15min.
- Allow the flask to cool to room temperatures and aseptically transfer yeast to liquid.
