If athletes participate in gym class, this just gives them more opportunities to improve. Taking part in a physical education class could improve student athletes’ chances to do great things in the sport they play. Gym class could be used as a way for students to relieve their stress, as well.

Another concern is that teachings in PE courses at school could interfere with a student’s success in their sport. Getting injured in gym class can affect an athlete’s performance. For example, getting a concussion while in gym could ruin an athlete’s chances of playing all season.
