The dressing with Flaminal® Hydro or Flaminal® Forte can remain in place as long as the gel structure is intact (1 to 4 days, depending on the amount of exudate).

Flaminal® (Hydro / Forte) can be used for acute and chronic wound types. The wound treatment is available in two formulations: Flaminal® Hydro for slightly to moderately exuding wounds and Flaminal® Forte for wounds with moderate to high amounts of wound exudate.

In case of sunburn, do not cover Flamigel® and apply Flamigel® frequently (up to 6 times per day). In case of minor cuts and grazes covering Flamigel® can help to protect the wound and to prevent contamination. Cover the wound with a non-adherent dressing to allow easy removal.

  1. Wash your hands before and after application of Flamigel® RT.
  2. Clean and dry the treated skin area gently before applying.
  3. Apply 3 times per day a liberal amount of Flamigel® RT to the treated area and a large zone around it and gently massage.
  4. Close the tube after each use.

How often should you apply Flaminal?

As your wound improves you can reduce dressing changes to every 3 – 4 days as recommended by your nurse/doctor. Please ensure you wash your hands thoroughly before and after application of Flaminal® Hydro / Forte.
